Reproductive justice
as coined by 12 Black women in 1994, is a framework, movement, vision and clear roadmap for our collective futures. It guides us towards a future where every human is able to exercise their right to: bodily autonomy, have (or not have) children, and parent the children they have in safe and sustainable communities (SisterSong).

ur journey and fight to secure that future is ongoing and builds upon the dreams of our ancestors and the Black Women’s Health Activism Movement birthed in the 1970s that gave voice to the experiences of Black woman that were left out of the mainstream movements and conversations following the passage of Roe v Wade.
